Gary and Scorch jump out and manage to get the suit off Shanker which causes them all to plummet. However, Shanker, wearing Scorch's robotic suit, uses a tractor beam to stop the ship in midair. With help from Hawk and Hammer, Gary and company locate Scorch's spaceship in a trailer park, and they begin to take off from Earth. With the Supernova brothers released from their icy prisons by the machine alongside the other frozen aliens, they team up with Doc, Thurman and Io escape Area 51. Gary rigged the machine to malfunction, destroying itself before it can destroy Baab, thus releasing himself, Scorch and other aliens that were frozen in their containers.
The space pilot evades the soldiers with an impressive display of athletic movements, and then destroys the blubonium, causing Shanker to freeze him and order Gary to fix the blubonium, revealing his sinister plan to rid of all the other alien planets. After the argument between the Supernova brothers causes a food fight in the cafeteria, the aliens make their way to the "peace shield".Īfter Shanker reveals the blubonium, Gary unintentionally provokes Scorch into stealing it after stating its dangerous power. Later, after Gary gets captured and taken to Area 51 as well, he reunites with Scorch, but the former is put off again by the latter's conceited behavior. After holding his ground for a while, Scorch is tranquilized and captured by General Shanker Saunderson, a cruel and malevolent general of the US Army, and is taken to "Area 51" where aliens from other planets are held. He is then ambushed by the Area 51 soldiers, and the space pilot prepares for a battle. After further arguments, Gary finally quits BASA before Scorch himself fires him.Įventually, Scorch arrives on Earth, lands in the desert and finds a 7-Eleven convenience store but mistakes an airdancer for a dying being. But Gary is strongly opposed of the idea as Scorch is not serious about it, for no alien has ever returned from the Dark Planet. The arrogant space pilot decides to go to the Dark Planet, as he holds a press conference to the Baab civilians about the mission. Lena Thackleman, the head of BASA, announces that Scorch will be sent to the "Dark Planet" (the Baabians' name for Earth) due to an SOS call. Returning to Planet Baab, Scorch is celebrated as the national hero of his people.
When Scorch makes a jump off a cliff, Gary manages to activate the spacesuit's grappling hook. Gary scolds his brother for not paying attention to him as earlier he told him there were 1,200 Gnarlachs not 12. However, things go awry quickly when he keeps entertaining the babies and the Gnarlachs wake up, resulting in a heated chase. After navigating through the Gnarlachs with acrobatic movements (despite Gary's protests), Scorch enters the crash-landed spaceship and locates the babies. In the beginning of the movie, Scorch is assigned in his mission to rescue the Baab babies from the vicious alien species called the Gnarlachs.
He tries to help his family and the entire planet of Baab whenever he can. Despite that, however, Scorch is very benevolent and has a strong sense of justice. Likewise, he tends to jump into action without thinking of the consequences that might affect him or those around him. Scorch has an arrogant and conceited streak, as he enjoys embracing his status as a national hero to the Planet Baab. He also wears a red/gray astronaut suit with white linings and has yellowish green eyes. Scorch is a blue alien who has a well-built physique and is quite taller than his older brother, Gary.
